It’s no secret that there are more great options for golf equipment than ever before.
So much so that when GOLF Fully Equipped co-hosts Kris McCormack and Wadeh Maroun were destroying the clubs they play in their bags, each of them has a lot more than just 14 to choose from.
“This year has been probably, in my mind, the best year for equipment in a long time,” Maroun said. “As far as the drivers liking me, this is the first year I’ve changed my driver.”
Maroun said he went from playing a four-year-old TaylorMade SIM card to playing one first Ping G430 Max 10k and currently a Title GT3.
Meanwhile, McCormack is playing one Callaway Paradym He Smoke Triple Diamond Maxbut also said the top of his bag is a “revolving door” that can change based on how his body feels.
“There’s a lot of good equipment out there this year,” he said. “Like, it’s crazy. It’s crazy how good everything is in different ways. That’s the thing, everything is in a different way.”
He mentioned how he loves her TaylorMade Qi10 because of how forgiving it is toe-hit and then he also pointed out the Titleist GT3, which had changed the center of gravity characteristics to move away from the GT2 model more.
