Recently the second round group of Masters 2026 are over, and the finish line is coming into focus. See below for Masters cut rules, designed cut and more.
Masters cut the rules
The Master’s framework is a little different from other degrees. The PGA Championship and Open Championship only reduce the field to the top 70 (and ties) after 36 holes, while the US Open cuts the field to the top 60 (and ties). At Augusta National, the field splits even further.
At the conclusion of 36 holes, only the top 50 (and ties) will stand for the weekend, making the Masters cut one of the smallest in all of golf.
