Who captains India in absence of Jasprit Bumrah in Sydney Test?

The Indian National Cricket Team faced a major injury scare during the ongoing fifth Test against the Australian National Cricket Team. Captain Jasprit Bumrah is injured and there is still no clarity on his fitness for the game.

Jasprit Bumrah was a little worried after lunch on Day 2 of the ongoing fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. The fast bowler bowled once but his pace dropped and he was bowling around 120.

But after that, Jasprit Bumrah left the field and was nowhere to be seen near the stage. Taking off 30 minutes before lunch, the fast bowler was leaving the Sydney Cricket Ground with his support staff for a scan at the practice set. He was seen driving to the hospital, which was a worrying sign for many.

Virat Kohli leads the Indian National Cricket Team in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah

With Bumrah out of the field, many would wonder who would lead the Indian National Cricket Team in the absence of a fast bowler. It was Virat Kohli who was the main batsman who took charge of the team and lined up the troops for the rest of the innings.

Virat Kohli caught the eye with his leadership and the way he handled the bowlers was sensational. The lead batsman was extremely aggressive on the field and instilled confidence in the other players as the bowler was all over the innings.

After Jasprit Bumrah’s injury, all the fast bowlers came out

In Bumrah’s absence, all the other fast bowlers chipped in and made sure to keep the Australian National Cricket Team under immense pressure. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took three wickets each and Nitish Kumar Reddy also took two.

Based on a magical effort with the ball, the Indian National Cricket Team bundled out the Australian National Cricket Team for a total of 181 runs. The Jasprit Bumrah-led side took a slim lead of 4 runs and would look to score big runs and build a big total for the opposition.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled 10 overs in the first innings of the ongoing match

Bumrah scored 10 goals in the first innings of the ongoing match. He dismissed Usman Khawaja overnight and then gave the Indian National Cricket Team a perfect start by dismissing Marnus Labuschagne on Day 2. Abhimanyu Easwaran came on as a substitute after he was ruled out.
