Whittaker done in 3 rounds

Mayweather Promotions’ undefeated super-middleweight prospect John “Candyman” Easter doesn’t seem impressed with rising British light-heavyweight prospect Ben Whittaker (10-0-1, 7 KOs) due to the fact that Easter believes he can stop Whittaker in three rounds.

This past weekend, Whittaker had an impressive outing when he demolished his opponent, Benjamin Gavazi. With 1:22 left in the opening round, Ben Whittaker landed a flurry of vicious power shots.

The final blow of the flurry was a hard overhand right that sent Gavazi to the canvas. Gavazi was able to get up, but seconds later Whittaker ended the fight when he connected with a devastating right hand.

After the impressive win, media member Jeremy Fiorentino, who goes by the nickname “Mr. Suspicious,” posted about a fantasy matchup between John Easter and Ben Whittaker. Easter approved the post with a reply saying, “let’s do it!!!!!!!”

Easter went on to tag Mayweather Promotions, Floyd Mayweather, Eddie Hearn and Ben Whittaker. After marking all parties, Easter wrote: “I’m ready to box, ‘Candyman can,’ I’m what the sport needs.”

John Easter, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, who fights out of Las Vegas, began his boxing career with seven straight knockout victories. In his last two ring appearances, Easter collected two dominant victories by way of unanimous decision.

Now John “Candyman” Easter (9-0, 7 KOs) enters the year 2026 with the goal of challenging himself. As of now, Easter wants a bigger fight, and 28-year-old British prospect Ben Whittaker is the boxer currently on Easter’s radar.

John Easter is an aggressive boxer-puncher who has power, an active work rate, and he displays good punch placement. His potential opponent, Ben Whitaker, has a flashy type of fighting style that features showmanship, elite footwork and well-timed counter punches.

Boxing is transitioning into a sport where the fans don’t want to see their favorite fighters pad their records by fighting tomato cans. When the time is right, they want to see their favorite fighters challenge themselves by facing the best competition.

A John Easter vs. Ben Whittaker fight in 2026 would be a very intriguing matchup. With his drunken master style, Whittaker created an exciting hype train. Easter isn’t drinking the sharp Kool-Aid though, as he plans to fight and derail Whittaker’s momentum.

John Easter admits he never watched an entire Ben Whittaker fight, but he still believes he can score a knockout victory inside three rounds. Easter is open for Whittaker as he looks to showcase his skills on the biggest stages.

Ben Whittaker and 23-year-old John Easter are two talented prospects who are both on the rise. This fight is the type of fight boxing fans want to see. Hopefully Eddie Hearn and Floyd Mayweather Jr can unite and meet the public demand.
