The Chicago White Sox finished with one of the worst seasons in Major League Baseball history with a record of 41 wins and 121 losses.
It was by far the worst season for the White Sox in their franchise history, and they will look to right the ship in 2025 by addressing various areas of their team.
One of the first steps the White Sox took was to hire a new manager, Will Venable, to begin fixing all the problems they faced in 2024.
Venable was asked what specific issues the team will address this offseason before heading into the 2025 season.
“I think there are things in all areas that we plan to address,” Venable said.

Venable points out that the team has been ahead of the game in terms of position players, so scoring runs will be a big focus for the team in 2025.
The White Sox have scored just 507 runs in 2024 while allowing 813 runs.
Venable will have his work cut out for him if he wants to return the White Sox to a competitive team in 2025.
The White Sox’ decline was dramatic as they won the American League Central by winning 93 games in 2021, but they won 81 games in 2022, 61 games in 2023 and then 41 games in 2024.
Venable will face a tough division, and the AL Central was responsible for three playoff teams in 2024. The fourth-place Minnesota Twins also have 82 wins and 80 losses.
The White Sox hit their bottom in 2024 and have nowhere to go but 2025 with Venable as their new manager.
