Janibek Alimkhanuly posted on social media today and said she “Long -awaited show” will be announced “soon”.
All signs point to Adames
IBF and WBO middleweight champion Janibek (17-0, 12 COs) has not yet revealed who he is facing, but it is apparently Carlos Adames, the WBC belt holder. Although Terence Crawford expressed interest in moving to 160 this week, it is too early for him to be the one that Alimkhanuly refers in his post on X.
It would be interesting for fans if Crawford would be courageous and the United two -like champion Janibek would choose as the man he wanted to fight next. But it may be too much to hope, as Crawford calculated during his career in terms of his choices of opponents. The result would not be assured that Crawford entered.
ADAMES WAIT AT CRAWFORD?
It is difficult to suggest that Adames agree to fight January now, as the timing is not ideal. If Adames wait a few months, the possibility that Crawford may choose to stare next in his pursuit of a sixth world title division.

The more meaningful battle for Bud
The two fighters haunted many years ago, and it is alleged that Crawford became the best of the action. Of the three champions at 160, Adames, 31, would make the best sense for the Omaha, Nebraska, Native Terence.
Choosing the Southpaw Janibek would be a risky move for Crawford because he is a big puncher, and his linking ability would not be an advantage against him. Janibek is a left hand, so Bud is not going to throw him away by fighting in the Southpaw attitude or switching to the way he confused in the past.
Janibek’s history of exclamations
Olympic bronze medalist Janibek in 2016 has been calling out Adames since October 2023, almost two years, and trying to get him to accept a fight against him, but without any luck. Interestingly, it was Adames (24-1-1, 18 COs) who initially expressed interest in fighting Alimkhnuly in 2023. But when January made it clear that he wanted the fight, Adames never followed.
Janibek will come from a fifth round of Anauw Ngamissengue on April 5. It was a collision in which both fighters landed early bombs, but the power of Alimkhanuly soon overwhelmed Ngamissengue.
Janibek stunned him with a left hand and then followed with two additional lefts that Ngamissengue put on the canvas. The referee then stepped in and stopped the competition because of the condition of the Hurt Fighter.
