Most golf fans agree that the season revolves around the main championships. To make sure you are ready for the biggest events, here are some key details about this year’s leading championships.
Masters
- Dates: 10–13 April
- Location: Golf National Club Augusta, Augusta, GA.
- 2024 champion: Scottie Scheffler
Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket in 2024. This victory (and some others last year) makes her early favorite to protect. Other main choices include Rory Mcilroy, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffle.
PGA championship
- Dates: 15–18 May
- Location: Club Quail Hollow, Charlotte, NC
- 2024 champion: Xander schauuffle
This is not the first time the PGA championship has been held in Quail Hollow. Thomas won here in 2017. Scheffler is the best choice to win the Schauffle champion protection.
We open
- Dates: June 12-15
- Location: Oakmont Country Club, Oakmont, Pa.
- 2024 champion: Bryson dechambeau
US Open is returning to the Oakmont History for the 10th time. It was last received in 2016 when Dustin Johnson won. Other champions in Oakmont include Tommy Armor, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller and Ernie Els. Once again (feeling a topic?), Scheffler is a favorite.
The open championship
- Dates: July 17-20
- Location: Royal Portrush Golf Club, Portrush, Northern Ireland
- 2024 champion: Xander schauuffle
This will be the third time Royal Portrush plays host in the open championship. When held in 2019, Irishman Shane Lowry won. Scheffler is the favorite with a close superiority to Mcilroy who grew up playing portrait ..
