Golf rules are complicated! Thankfully, we have guru. our Guy rules know the front book to get back. Do you have a question? He has all the answers.
Player A and Player B are both near, but not on the surface of the placement. B is farther away from the hole, but the ball A is on its favorite path. B asks or mark his ball. I know he can’t clean his ball, but can he replace it with the intention line in the way he wants or should he lower it oriented as it was before? —Scott Puklich, Eden Prairie, Minn
Golf rules can be, good, misleading.
You’re right, scott, the ball cannot be cleaned. The rules for replacement do not require the ball to be replaced in the same orientation, so a reorganization using the line would be fine.
However, aside, the “country” includes the vertical location of the ball in relation to the soil, which can be a matter if there is mud in the ball – you can’t essentially throw the ball into a pile of mud attached to it, unless it was already when you scored 14.2c/1.

A player hits his car on the road. When he addresses his ball for his second shot, his foot is on a deep divotion left by a previous group. He sees a bunch of peat a few meters forward, pulls it and puts it on the diva, then plays its purpose. By improving his attitude, he broke the rules? —John Alario, Staten Island, NY
Cruelly, he has. Replacing divots is the right labeling, but doing this in this case is breaking one of the most basic rules of golf, namely, playing the course while you find it.
Rule 8.1A prohibits improving any condition affecting the stroke – here, the target residence area – with certain actions, one of which by changing the surface of the Earth by replacing a divotine in a divot hole.
He receives our sympathy, as well as the general punishment of two blows in the game of hitting and losing holes in the game.
