Adam Schenk survived wicked winds at Bermuda’s Port Royal Golf Course all week to win Butterfield Bermuda Championship for his first PGA Tour win.
Facing the shortest course on the PGA Tour and winds over 40 mph on Sunday, Donate dependent thanks to a unique organization bag without forests of the fairway.
In fact, his bag this week shows expert levels of equipment prowess.
Let’s start with his eight-year-old Ping G400 driver. The G400 is one that many Ping pros and non-professionals have been pining for over the years. Schenk is one of the few pros who still plays it, but Bernhard Langer is another prominent user. He’s been using a newer G430 Max ever this season, but the old faithful G400 got the call this week.

Jack Hirsch
This is another thing. While Schenk isn’t one to try out new gear often, he is one of the most notorious gear shifters on the PGA Tour.
This week’s highlight is his iron kit. On several occasions this year, he has used a full set of Ping i210s. But this week, he only used them on the 2- to 5-iron and finished his set with 6-PW on the Mizuno MP-18 SC. These irons were released in 2018 and 2017 respectively.
Schenk’s Odyssey Tri-Hot Rossie is also possibly the oldest player to win on the PGA Tour this season, having been released in 2001 and being the first model to use the “Tri-Hot” name. Just three weeks ago, Odyssey added a shooter to the group with S2S Tri-Hot.
When it comes to the golf ball, you can probably guess that Schenk is one of the last remaining users of the Titleist Pro V1 2017. Brian Harman is another notable user of that ball.
In fact, the only pieces of clothing in Schenk’s bag that were released this decade are his set of Vokey SM10 wedges.

Title Vokey SM10 Raw Custom Wedge
For every shot, every lie, every course, there’s a matchup fit for your swing. Finding the right grind to suit your swing and playing conditions will give you the best pitch interaction, contact and impact performance. Master golfer Bob Vokey has spent decades creating, developing and refining his proven tournament skills to suit players of all skill levels. Anyone can make a wedge, but it takes a craftsman to turn a piece of high-performance technology into an instrument of creative control. Bob’s six tournament-proven grips are designed to deliver maximum creativity, versatility and durability, all meticulously developed over years of working with the world’s best players. PROGRESSIVE CENTER OF GRAVITY The SM9 features a progressive center of gravity (CG) throughout the loft, which optimizes flight, accuracy and ball forgiveness. By using narrow top lines and different tube lengths, Vokey’s research and development team has raised the CG height to higher lofts, which promotes a lower and more controlled flight. The CG is also forward of the face, resulting in increased MOI, incredible feel and a clubface that just wants to square up at impact. SPIN MILLED GROOVES SM9’s patented Spin Milled Grooves are meticulously engineered through a new cutting process to maximize spin and durability. The process begins by cutting the face perfectly flat with a high-speed saw. Then each groove is cut individually based on the loft and finish; low lofts (46°-54°) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56°-62°) have wider, shallower grooves. Micro-grooves are individually cut between channels, which maximize centrifugation in fractional firing. A special heat treatment is applied to the impact area, which doubles the durability of the groove without affecting the feel, making it the most durable golf groove. The process is only complete when each Vokey wedge is 100% inspected for maximum quality and performance.

Shooter: Tri-Hot Rossie Odyssey
Odyssey Tri-Hot Square 2 Square Rossie Custom Putter
We’ve moved Zero Torque forward. Odyssey’s new line of S2S TRI-HOT gauges is a revolution in the Zero Torque category. By using multi-material construction, we’ve been able to move the CG of these rigs far enough forward to get the shaft into the head on the topline, eliminating the need for shaft ligation and thus eliminating one of the biggest barriers to entry for this style of casting. Forward CG and Hose Position By moving the CG forward, we were able to position the hose spud on the top line, much closer to the face than typical Zero Torque setters for a more natural, intuitive and comfortable installation position. Multi-Material Construction By strategically using aluminum, steel and over 140 grams of tungsten, we’ve been able to design a “Zero Torque” gauge with more than 80% of its weight below the topline and allowing for our forward CG position and hose. New FRD Groove This new Forward Roll design groove is deeper and more aggressive. With a 19° slope it works together with the two-layer design to improve forward rotation up and down the face.
