Lehecka is in his second major quarter -final career and attracts confidence from a victory over Alcaraz earlier this year in Doha. Alcaraz, invincible in groups through four rounds in New York, owns a 21-3 career record in The Open. The Spaniard runs their head 2-1, but the fearless czecheke style and the return ability can push Alcaraz.
That said, Alcaraz looked like a man on a mission in New York. He served the lights, winning 54 of his 55 service games through four rounds.
