On Saturday night in the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an exciting rematch took place for the undisputed lightweight crown when Dmitri Biblical Bererbiev (21-1, 20 COs) defeated as the majority decision.
This battle had all the elements you expect to see in an elite championship match. This battle had strategic movements, trailer -friendly actions and multiple momentum shifts. Four months ago, Artur Betterbiev Gmitry Biblical gave his first career loss, and the night of February 22, Bsvol returned the favor.
In the opening round in the struggle for Undisputed, the majority of action took place in the middle of the ring, as both better Biev and Biblical try to establish the sting. Betterbiev came out in the second round with the aim of being more aggressive, but as he pressed forward, Biblical connected to a right -hand shot on several occasions.
In the third round each time if betterbiev ended up a large heavy shot, Biblical reacted by throwing a combination of three or four punches. Betterbiev was predominant in round 4 as he pushed forward and heavy right -hand shots through the round.
In the 5th round, Betterbiev continued to connect with the right hand at the head and body of Biblical. At the center of fifth place, Bivolbiev caught better with a clean right shot, but better Biev ended the round by landing a few solid combinations.
Biblical clap used to set his combinations during the first 90 seconds of the sixth round, but better Biev ended the round on a strong note when he supported the ropes bably and landed hard rights and left. Now, the question that everyone would like to ask at the end of a big fight is what is the next for the new undisputed world-lightweight champion Dmitri Biblical?
An obvious choice for Dmitri Bivol is a trilogy struggle with Artur Betterbiev. With his big win Saturday night, even the score, and now a rubber match can determine the overall winner of the Bivol-Beterbiev series.
Another interesting option is an undisputed lightweight title between Dmitri Bivolol and David Banavidez. The unbeaten David Banavidez was the largest participant at 168 for two years, but champion Canelo Alvarez managed to avoid him.
Knowing that he would never have an opportunity to fight for the title, David Banavidez moved up to 175. After placing unanimous victories over Oleksandr Gvozdyk and David Morrell, Benavidez proved himself as a legitimate contender for the light remover.
