Casemiro will only consider leaving Manchester United if the club make it clear he is not in their plans, according to a report.
The midfielder has endured a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign and was mainly to blame for two of the three goals the Red Devils conceded in Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool.
Although the transfer the windows in most of Europe and Saudi Arabia have closed, the Turkish window remains open for another week and Galatasaray are interested in acquiring Casemiro.
However, ESPN He writes that Casemiro will only consider such a move if he is told that he is not at the club or Erik ten Hag’s thinking.
Ten Hag defended Casemiro after his poor performance against Liverpool, and it is claimed that both he and sporting director Dan Ashworth are against weakening the squad without being able to make an immediate addition to make up for that deficit. However, united are open to “realistic offers”.
Earlier this week it was reported that Casemiro was against leaving United no matter whatso that suggests his stance has softened a bit since leaving Old Trafford.
Galatasaray have already made a marquee signing in recent days, with striker Victor Osimhen on loan from Napoli.
Osimhen had hoped to leave Italy in the summer and was the subject of interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. However, agreements could not be reached with either club before the main European transfer deadline, which led to his move to Turkey.
United and Galatasaray will compete in this season’s Europa League, although they have not drawn in the league stage. The Red Devils, however, will travel to Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahce, who are managed by former manager Jose Mourinho.
