What am I eating? breakfast/lunch/dinner by Jakob Ingebrigtsen

If you haven’t watch the @YouTube channel Jakob Ingebrigtsen, you’re missing out on real fun. Jakob is a natural at podcasts.

How do you describe Jakob Ingebrigtsen to someone dropped from another planet?

Well, this writer would say that Jakob Ingebrigtsen is a wonderful example of a man who wants to get the best out of himself, who sees failure as another fork in the road, and who has inspired a generation of global runners.

The event: 2024 NIKE Prefontaine Classic, Jacob ran the Bowerman Mile. After the race, where Jacob finished second, the crowd of high school athletes waiting for his autograph or selfie was monstrous. I talked to some and the team had driven six hours to come and see their hero.

Jakob has won two Olympic gold medals (1500m and 5000m), two World Championship outdoor golds, two World Championship outdoor silvers, two World Indoor golds and two World Indoor golds, six European Outdoor golds, seven European Indoor golds, one European Indoor Championship silver and Eight.

Currently, Jacob In:ngebrigtsen holds World Records 2000 meters outside (4:43.13), 3000 meters outside (7:17.55) and: 2 miles outside (7:54.10).

inside, Jakob Ingebrigtsen holds the world record in the 1500m (3:29.63z) set in 2025. Jacob also holds the Mile Indoor record of 3:45.14, also set in 2025.

My last interview with Jakob was at the 2025 European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands in March 2025. I reminded Jacob at the time that he had told me in the fall of 2023 that he had noted that the 3000m was his best distance. Jacob, in 2025, told me he didn’t have the best distance.

Like Jacob Ingebrigtsen. His podcast Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner is very good. Check it out!
