Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the 15-man squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home on Saturday (November 16). This home series is crucial for the Windies as they aim for a strong finish in the 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) with home advantage against the Bangladesh cricket team.
Led by Kraigg Brathwaite, the Windies Test squad has a mix of seasoned campaigners and rising stars. All-rounder Justin Greaves returned to the Test side after his stunning performance in the CG United Super50 Trophy, where he scored three centuries.
Jason Holder to miss West Indies vs Bangladesh Test series
Off-spinner Kevin Sinclair is also back to bolster Windies’ spin department, while former captain and senior all-rounder Jason Holder will miss the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh with a shoulder injury that requires rehabilitation.
Top-order batsman Tevin Imlach is all set to make his debut for the West Indies after receiving his maiden Test call-up for the Bangladesh series. On the other hand, Trinidadian fast bowler Anderson Phillip was also recalled to the Test side after two years for the home Test series.

The upcoming Test series between West Indies and Bangladesh will begin with a two-day warm-up match at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on November 17 and 18, where Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the CWI Select XI. Cricket West Indies (CWI) also announced the squad for the warm-up match.
The CWI Select XI is a unique opportunity for players who are not part of their territorial teams to showcase their potential in the CG United Super50 tournament. The move has been taken to give rookie players valuable experience in a competitive environment ahead of the Test series.

Notably, fans in the Caribbean can watch the live action between Windies and Bangladesh in the WTC Test series on ESPN Caribbean, while Bangladeshi viewers can tune in via the Toffee digital platform. After the Test series, they will play three ODIs and three T20Is in December. CWI will announce the white ball squads at a later date with the series running from December 8th to December 19th.
