Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the calendar for Bangladesh The women’s team’s upcoming tour of the West Indies marks a landmark event in the cricket calendar for women’s cricket. The tour to the beautiful island of St. Kitts will feature a series of white-ball matches aimed at strengthening both teams’ preparations for their upcoming international commitments.

The tour includes six matches, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and more T20 Internationals (T20Is), all in Basseterre, St. It will be held at the famous Warner Park in Kitts. It is a part of ODIs ICC Women’s Championshipmaking them essential for both teams to qualify for the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Importance for qualification
For West Indies, the WODI series is of particular importance as they look to collect points in the ICC Women’s Championship. A strong performance here could secure automatic qualification for the World Cup, although there is still an opportunity through the qualifying tournament for teams that do not qualify directly.
“This series against Bangladesh is very important for us as we continue our campaign in the 2025 ICC Women’s 50-over Championship. Preparation and expectations
Both teams will have access to special training sessions scheduled in the mornings, afternoons and some evenings to ensure they are well prepared for the matches. These sessions are crucial for players to adapt to conditions and for coaches to fine-tune strategies.
The Bangladesh team will arrive in St. Kitts on January 14, giving them plenty of time to adjust to the local conditions before the series begins.
