We tried: ECCO BIOM Golf Shoes H5

thereHow many delightful dresses in the golf world not always fitThe most sought after testsORBuyer’s guides. You still want to know how you perform. In our series we tried it, we put on the test dress and let us know if it works as advertised.

ECCO BIOM golf shoes

What do we like

  • No fracture of the process needed

  • Tremendous comfort

  • Pelvis

What we don’t like

  • The upper shape is too wide for some

  • More functional than stylish

Ultimately

ECCO BIOM H5 is a great golf shoe. Forget the bubble or need a few rounds to work on them – they fit perfectly outside the box. You will hardly print to find a more comfortable golf shoe that supports your foot in all directions. These odorless shoes get an inspiration from the durable walking shoes, and the style will be divisive because of it.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to Mclemore Resort At Lookout Mountain in Georgia to attend Camp ECCO, an event where social media writers and personalities tried the latest offer from the company.

Part of this trip was to play Keep in McLemore, a beautiful rock course that is opening for a public game this September. If you want to hear my thoughts about that appearance, look at my story from last week.

As part of the Camp ECCO, all of us have to try the new ECCO Biom H5 golf shoes.

And we’re not talking about a slight test here – it was eight miles walking through the Golf Hilly Mountain just a few moments after I put these suckers on my feet.

How did it go? Let me walk through my experience.

They fit perfectly immediately

If you are familiar with EccoOne main point of pride is that players do not have to suffer through a break in the period with their shoes.

This is once again true with new Biom H5. I wear a size 9, and it was true to size.

I pulled out the insert to create only one room more room. A large part of this shoe is that getting insertion has no effect on comfort – than to provide a little more space for your foot to move.

Almost there is no way to bubble here, and I don’t think it’s hyperbole. ECCO rap instead guaranteed we all would have no problem, even after walking a few miles in these shoes for more than six hours. They were right.

The adjustment is immediately soft and safe before connecting the lace, which is exactly what you are hoping for from a shoe. I’ve had some bladder on my day – it’s the last thing you want from a golf shoe.

With these, I could play literally hoodless and have zero problem.

The first thing you notice is bow support

If you are looking for a golf shoe with pronounced bow support, you will discover it here.

I think this is one reason why I felt so comfortable in them.

In fact, after my round was over, I actually got home for more than two hours while still wearing my shoes. They felt so much like regular jogging/walking shoes, I would normally wear them as I forgot to remove them before getting into the car.

With the upper skin, you get the sensation as if this is a thicker, more durable shoe (which is). At the same time, a soft and stretched tongue (it is attached to the top, so there is no special language that moves around) offers a pleasant welcome to the shoes, and makes it easy to move the ankle.

In terms of functionality, I am a massive fan. Biom H5 goes straight to top of my list in terms of comfort.

I also need to note that this shoe comes to the BOA option. You can also get the upper text instead of the skin, which creates the appearance of a more athletic shoe.

The style is unique and can be divisive

The determining element of the style of this shoe for me is the waterproof membrane that ends around the bottom layer.

It looks like the face of a rock, which is an ode for the Scottish highlands. ECCO is known for his shoes on a walk, so that personality fits well with the brand.

Functionally, there is no bottom layer here, so you can stay in some inches of water and feel nothing (I tested this and worked rapidly, intended intentionally).

Stylish, this can be polarizing.

When I first saw the shoe, I was hit by how delightful it looked. The membrane gives the appearance of the snow attached to the shoes, and the membrane is painted in different shades of color, with some mixed gray.

it’s broken.

The same goes for the outside, which looks like cracked ice.

This also includes the widest upper part that gives the appearance of a shoe that can resist more penalties than most golf shoes.

For me those variables say, “I like to walk when I’m golf. I can walk in a distance with these shoes. I am putting a few miles on them and they will continue to look and feel good when I finish.”

This appeals to me because I am a great itineator. I like that concept.

However, it may not be for everyone. It is not a traditional style for a golf shoe, but we should not expect anything less from the brand that defended the golf shoes without spik. ECCO is ready to experiment.

I am interested in listening to everyone’s opinion on that. I am thinking that many will prefer the upper style of textile, which has more of a jogging shoe, with patterned pattern.

Has more substances and performance than style

Women’s shoes have an external purple option.

Continuing this topic, the color options available for Biom H5 are limited and favor the utilitarian side of things.

I got the gray shoes with white and outer orange membrane. Another option includes Gray Gray with a black/outer membrane. Another is an entire white shoe with a blue outer layer.

Personally, I think if you want to dress like Rickie Fowler around 2010, you are probably not choosing these shoes.

Depending on which option you choose and what outfit you have, the Biom H5S can definitely work from a style perspective. And I’m not saying you will look bad in whatever way. They look really cute, in my opinion.

It is just that the main reason to wear these shoes is for comfort, performance, durability and breaking them – not to win a beauty contest.

Final thoughts

This is a very, very good golf shoe. Among my favorites I have tried over the past year, no doubt.

On the premium side in terms of cost, but you are easily restoring that value in how durable this shoe will be for the years ahead.

This is such a walking shoe. If you always walk when you play, this is a tremendous opportunity.

From the standpoint of comfort, it is difficult to beat. You get great support in all fields of shoe.

In terms of style, you may be in love with (like me) or you may not like you. I wouldn’t say it’s a “safe” shoe in terms of design. It’s bold and cute.

This shoe is a perfect fit for me. Is it a perfect fit for you?
