The World Boxing Organization has ordered Oleksandr Ulsyk, an undisputed four-belt heavyweight champion, to defend his WBO title against their mandatory Joseph Parker. They have 30 days to agree to an agreement.
USYK’s expensive Parker bolt
Utility would do Parker and his promoter a Massive favor By agreeing to this battle, because it will nowhere pay close to the kind of money he can get more popular against heavyweights. Usyk may be throwing away about $ 30-40 million if he prefers to fight Parker.
There is zero profit for Oleksandr to wage this battle with Parker. He will miss ten millions of dollars by fighting Parker rather than Tyson Fury, and even if he wins, he won’t come forward. Fans do not judge Parker.
USYK (24-0, 15 COs) did not say whether he would agree to wage this battle because it would not bring him the kind of wallet that came in with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua again. While Parker is popular at Ultra hardcore Boxing fans, he’s an unknown with casuals, who don’t know who he is.

Usyk ran the table and beat Daniel Dubois, Joshua and Fury twice. Fighting Parker would be a huge payout in terms of fan interest.
If we assume that uskyk is taking that battle, it will not take long before another of the sanctions that order him to defend against their designated mandatory challenger. It never stops, and the money that earns for every fight would be a small thing compared to what he can get to fight Fury or Joshua.
