Turki Alalshikh says he has lost interest in making an effort to fight between undisputed light heavyweight champion Dmitri Biful and his unbeaten WBC compulsory David Benavidez. He does not say why he lost interest in the Bivol-Benavidez battle.
If Turki’s motto is ‘the best against the best’, he must be in favor of BIVOL -FIG against WBC shelters Benavidez next, as he scored with his impressive victory over David Morrell on February 1. ‘The Mexican monster’ benavidez is GETPONITE FOR BIVOL and betterbiev.
Title straw?
Biblical may need to evacuate its WBC title if the sanction body pushes, and it seems they will do. It might not bother Turki if his goal is to focus only on the ring titles for his battles in the boxing league he creates with Dana White.
If Alalshikh just wants to use his titles, it doesn’t matter if Biblical is stripped of his WBC belt. Of course, it could matter to him if he would not be in Turki league because he would lose his belts. Eddie Hearn’s match room promotes Biblical.
