In a moment that silenced the crowd, RR pacer Nandre Burger produced a stunning performance to dismiss Sanju Samson for just six runs on his debut for CSK. What was expected to be a big event for Samson quickly turned into a nightmare as Burger’s brilliance took center stage.
Samson, who opened the batting in new colours, looked wary early on, perhaps still adjusting to the role. But in the second over, Burger came on the attack and delivered the ball every fast bowler dreams of.
At 140.2 kmph, the delivery moved on a good length and went away delicately after pitching. Samson completely misreads the line as he tries to spin it towards the leg side. The ball went past his bat and hit the stumps, sending the bails flying.
