Brighton continued their impressive start to the season by coming away from the Emirates with an important point today.
Arsenal took the lead early in the first half through Kai Havertz, but the game changed dramatically when Declan Rice was controversially shown a red card for “delaying the restart”.
Brighton capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Joao Pedro scoring the equalizer to make it 1-1.
Pedro had an eventful match and was involved in several key moments. In the first half he escaped a penalty for throwing the ball out of play, an offense that should have been penalised.
He also embarrassed Arsenal star Bukayo Saka with a brilliant piece of skill during the game. He showed incredible technique to get past the England international, with a shoulder drop.

Brighton’s impressive start to the season
Pedro has been a key player for Brighton who have made an unbeaten start to the season. So far they have played against Everton, Manchester United and Arsenal, with two wins and a draw to sit at the top of the table (for now) with 7 points.
Next, after the international break, they play newly promoted Ipswich Town and hope to continue their form with a win.
