Arundhati Reddy’s masterful performance: Georgia Voll fired
The Indian bowlers initially struggled to break the 50-run opening stand between them Full Georgia and Phoebe Litchfieldd. Voll looked poised for a big score, showcasing his talent with a classy 26 off 30 balls. However, Arundhati Reddy turned the game around with a moment of brilliance.
Bowling over cover, Reddy dropped a perfectly pitched good length delivery that came back sharply to Voll. Caught on the back foot, Voll misjudged the line leaving a gap between bat and pad. The ball went through the defense and hit the stumps. Dismissals, skill and accuracy in equal parts brought India back into the contest. Voll’s knock, which consisted of four boundaries, ended just as it looked set to accelerate.
