Legendary Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram is currently in Australia as a commentator for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between Australia and India. He works as a commentator for the English and Hindi versions of Star Sports.
Wasim Akram was asked by some fans why Hindi commentary on Star Sports is not as serious as Fox Sports. Fans wanted more commentary on cricket than personal chats, which is usually the norm in Hindi commentary.

Wasim Akram gave a befitting reply to such comments and claimed that it was just a game and not an intensive care unit. He asked viewers to watch the Fox commentary if they don’t prefer to watch the Hindi commentary.
“We were reading some comments on social media. Some of our Indian fans were saying that the Fox commentary is serious and the Hindi commentary (on Star Sports) is not serious. This is a game, not an ICU ward. If you can listen to the Fox commentary, you don’t want to listen to it.” Akram said on Star Sports.
Why so serious? 😅

India are firmly in control of the Perth Test
Meanwhile, India tightened their grip on the Perth Test with excellent performances with bat and ball. Apart from being bowled out for 150 in the first innings, the Men in Blue hardly did anything wrong in the match.
In reply to India’s 150, Australia were bowled out for just 104 in their first innings, giving the visitors a 46-run lead. Skipper Jasprit Bumrah led the way as he picked a superb five-wicket haul.
Bumrah finished with 5-30, while fellow quicks Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana gave him good company. Rana took three wickets on his debut and Siraj finished with 2-20.
Indian players shine in 2nd innings
Indian openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal batted superbly in the second innings and look quite comfortable at the crease. Both batsmen crossed the 200-run mark with all 10 wickets in hand to take India’s lead.
India were 172-0 at stumps on Day 2 and currently lead by 218 runs. Jaiswal is unbeaten on 90 off 193 balls while Rahul is unbeaten on 62 off 153 balls. Both the batsmen will look to take India further on Day 3 and knock Australia out of the game.
