India all-rounder Washington Sundar impressed with the ball in the third innings as he picked up the crucial wicket of Tom Latham on Day 1 of the ongoing third Test match. Washington Sundar edged out set-maker Tom Latham in the opening session of the first day with a superb display.
Tom Latham was in decent touch with the bat in New Zealand’s first innings. However, the left-handed batsman was dismissed in the 16th minute of the first innings. The New Zealand captain managed to score 44 off 28 balls before being dismissed, leaving the Black Caps at 59/2 in 16 overs.

Washington Sundar delivered a well executed delivery. Latham played the defensive shot on the front foot but misread the drift. Sundar along with his teammates celebrated after an exceptional delivery.
