Team India Teat Internationaler Washington Sundar endured a disappointing outing in the first Odi of the three-match series against Australia. The left-hander made 10 runs off 10 balls before falling to left-arm morale Matthew Kuhnemann at the Perthus Stadium on Sunday, October 19.
Australian Skipper Mitchell Marsh asked for India’s first over after dropping the horse. The home team went through the Indian top order within energy. Shubman Gill (10), Rohit Sharma (8) and Virat Kohli (0) were dismissed for low scores. Washington came into bat as India struggled at 84/5 after 20 overs.

The dismissal came in the third ball of the 24th over in India’s innings at Freedom. Matthew Kuhnemann bowls Washington Sundar better with a smart delivery, another slower bowling that offers no pace to work off the ball.

Sundar tries a deliberate reverse sweep but miscues the length of the ball. 10 off the short 10 balls hit his glove before getting stuck on a deflection on the stumps to complete his run.
The wicket was given by Kuhnemann, his second of the match, and he repeated it again as they continued to lose their bid to post a respectable total, re-engaging India.

Australia won the toss and initially fell to first in cloudy conditions in Perth. The much awaited comeback of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli ended in disappointment as both fell cheaply.
Hazlewood, 8 in the third over, Starc dismissed Kohli for a duck in the first over. Shubman Gill looked promising early on, but for 10, caught a delivery near the leg side of Nathan Ellis.
Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel tried to rebuild before the rain stopped, only for Hazlewood to strike again after the restart.
Australia set a DLS target of 131 runs for victory
AXAR Patel hit 31 off 38 balls before falling to the impactful Matthew Kuhnemann first. KL Rahul hit Matthew twice to score a point that badly needed the innings.
His 38 not out in 38 for India, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s 11-ball unbeaten 19 with two sixes provided the late fireworks. India managed to post 136 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Owen and Matthew Kuhnemann took two wickets each, while Mitchell Starc and Nathan Ellis claimed one apiece. Australia were given a DLS target of 131 runs for the win.
