Virat Kohli He did not have his best performance with the bat in the ongoing first Test between India and Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
It was his first Test since the tour of South Africa earlier this year. The former India captain had skipped the entire five-match Test series against England at home to be with his pregnant wife. The right-handed batsman, playing his first Test since January, struggled to get going.
He was bowled out for just six runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli’s fate has not changed in the second innings either. Although he was on the start, he failed to capitalize and was out for 17 runs. And even though the batting superstar failed to make a big impact with the bat in the Test, that didn’t stop him from showing his animated side on the field.
Virat Kohli has looked in good spirits throughout the Test so far. He does not hesitate to make his usual plays on the field. And once Virat Kohli also struck a snake pose to tease the Bangladesh team.
For the uninitiated, the Bangladeshi team is known for its ‘Naagin Dance’ celebration. Although Kohli’s pose is not similar to the ‘Naagin dance’, fans on social media believe that he was mocking the Bangladeshi players with the snake pose.

India expecting a big win:
Team India will look to wrap up the ongoing IND vs BAN Test on the fourth day and get a big win in the series opener. Set a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh were 158/4 at stumps on the third day. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (51) and Shakib Al Hasan (5) remained unbeaten at the crease. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah the other.
Earlier in the day, India declared their second innings at 287/4. India were reeling at 67/3 at one stage but recovered thanks to brilliant tones from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill. Shalwar was out for 109 runs while Gill was unbeaten on 119. They also shared a 167-run stand for the fourth wicket.
Fighting knocks from Ashwin (113) and Ravindra Jadeja (86) in the first innings helped India claw back to 376 runs from 144/6. In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 149 runs.
