Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli has thanked his lifelong friend Sachin Tendulkar for his recovery from his recent health setback at Thane Hospital. Kambli was admitted to Aakriti Hospital, a private hospital in Thane, after complaining of a urinary tract infection and cramps.
It should be noted that Vinod Kambli was reportedly taken to a hospital in Thane’s Kalher area by a fan who owns the facility. Dr. Vivek Trivedi, who is now treating Vinod Kambli, revealed that after several medical tests, the doctors at Aakriti hospital discovered a clot in the former Indian cricketer’s brain.

Speaking about his recovery, Vinod Kambli revealed that he felt better after singing Queen’s iconic 1977 classic song ‘We Are the Champions’ and remained deeply committed to his cricketing journey. The former left-handed batsman also recalled his achievements with the bat.
Vinod Kambli was quoted by ANI as saying, “I feel better now… I will never leave this (cricket) because I remember the number of centuries and double centuries I have scored… We are three left-handers. family.”
Appreciating the support of his former teammate and old friend, Kambli thanked Sachin Tendulkar as he offered the legendary cricketer’s blessings and prayers during this difficult time. He added, “When I was not well (Sachin) said he had his blessings. I am grateful to him.”

Meanwhile, Vinod Kambli is currently recovering at Aakriti Hospital after doctors discovered a clot in his brain. He was admitted to the hospital with muscle cramps, dizziness and difficulty walking and is now the Chief Intensivist at Aakriti Hospital. Vivek Dwivedi has given a new update on his former crush.

Tests revealed a urinary tract infection, sodium and potassium deficiency, and old clots from a recent stroke. Dr. Dwivedi revealed that Kambli was being treated in the intensive care unit due to low blood pressure, but his condition is now stable. The doctor noted degenerative changes in the brain and focused on rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Kambli is expected to be discharged home in 2-3 days.

Dr. Vivek Dwivedi was quoted as saying by ANI, “We admitted him on Saturday evening. At home he was experiencing muscle spasms and dizziness… When we brought him to the hospital, he had a high fever and was having difficulty walking due to muscle cramps. On examination, we found that he had a urinary tract infection and sodium and potassium deficiency, causing muscle cramps.
A brain scan revealed old clots from a recent stroke. He also had low blood pressure, so we placed him in the intensive care unit… His vital condition is stable, but treatment and physiotherapy are ongoing. We plan to release him home in 2-3 days. The condition of the brain is not stable… There are degenerative changes in the brain. That’s why we pay more attention to rehabilitation.”

Notably, Kambli, who represented India in 17 Tests and 104 ODIs between 1993 and 2000, recently attended the unveiling of a memorial to his legendary coach Ramakant Achrekar at Shivaji Park.
