In his most recent battle in June last year, HRGOVIC lost for the first time in his professional career when he lost to Daniel Dubois after the fight was stopped by cuts. On the other hand, Joyce had his most recent battle in July last year, where he lost a unanimous 10 round decision against Derek Chisora. So both of these heavyweights come from a loss, and both of these guys have previously blew a mandatory place. HRGOVIC was the IBF which is compulsory to go into the Dubois battle, but the victory of Dubois was him as the IBF -Tussent time champion. About a month later, Dubois was promoted to the right IBF champion after USKyk evacuated the belt. Joyce was the unbeaten WBO mandatory a few years ago, but he lost that status after fighting back to the fighting against Zhilei Zhang. With the recent loss against Chisora, Joyce has now lost 3 of his last 5.
It’s a must -win for both guys. The winner of this one can immediately find himself in the mix, where another high -profile event would probably come up in short order. But the loser of this one will find himself in a very difficult situation that probably should take a few steps to rebuild. It’s a bit of a crossroads for both heavyweights.
