Victor Osimhen at Chelsea has been described as “here we are”, but not by Fabrizio Romano at the moment, but by Napoli forward John Ogu’s ex-Nigerian international team-mate.
See below as Ogu has posted the following on his X account, but with no further context at the moment, and with none of the usual transfer reporters apparently confirming anything about this deal…
Still, there’s always the chance that a player who knows Osimhen well has heard something that suggests such a deal could be on the cards, so it’ll be interesting to see if anything comes of it sooner rather than later.
Osimhen’s Chelsea stories have dominated the headlines this summer, with former Blues and Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel also recently speaking out about the Napoli frontman’s situation and suggesting he has some hope the ambitious signing will come through. ..

Fabrizio Romano has also posted on Romelu Lukaku who looks set to leave Chelsea for Napoli Daily briefing column, so it surely gives the west London giants some hope of securing Osimhen, albeit in a separate deal.
Lukaku’s arrival should mean Napoli are well stocked up front, and also frees up space for Chelsea, as well as the huge funds that would surely be required to bring in the 25-year-old.
Osimhen has shone for Napoli and would be an exciting addition to the Premier League.
