In a lacoste release she said the design is based on numerous inspirations.

“(Venus’) Met Gala Look, imagined by Lacoste, attracted from the main figures essential to the topic – from André Leon Talley’s gift to Joséphine Baker called” Black Venus “,” Lacoste said in a statement. “Designed on a green kelp as a node for brand inheritance, the silhouette plays volume and gives a bold interpretation of the evening dress code: adapted to you.”

The four-time Olympic Gold Medal Champion Venus shared some images back-nights at New York City on Instagram.

“I am very excited to have returned to Met Gala this year, especially with lacoste for their extraordinary debut,” Venus Williams said. “Cooperation with Pelagia in this custom view made the night even more special. We have worked together for years, and that felt like such a full moment.

“I am honored to represent a brand that I admire so much on a night that celebrates creativity, history, art and fashion.”

First, an embroidery inspired by the piqué applied to collar polo and tiles of a contoured body-created by the atelier Baqué Molinié, a Paris-based textile design studio, known for its embroidery expertise.

The fitted cloth is decorated with not less than 1,500 perforated crystals, 1,500 sequences, 2,800 toupies and 11,200 round beads.

The mixed skirt of silk wool adapted with the movement of sun-purified flaunts, short in front and long in the back-requiring 30 meters of fabric, skillfully treated by Lemarié. This latest high -profile collaboration reinforces the close relationship between Lacoste and Maison d’Ar historical French, founded in 1880 and famous for its pleating expertise.
