Indian National Cricket Team’s enigmatic spinner Varun Chakravarthy stunned the South African National Cricket Team with a fine masterclass in the second T20I of the four-match series.

Varun Chakraborty shines once again for India
Varun Chakravarthy has been in exceptional spells since his return to the Indian team. The mystery spinner emerged as the first choice spinner for the side and sealed his position in the playing XI.
In the first T20I against South Africa at Kingsmead in Durban, Varun Chakraborty picked up three wickets for just 25 runs. The spinner continued his form in the second T20I and dismantled the Proteas batting setup.
He started by picking the wicket of Aiden Markram in the second ball of the 6th over. Varun Chakravarthy played a star that Markram couldn’t read and saw his stumps rattle.
He continued to hit the South Africans with aplomb as he dismissed Reeza Hendricks in the fourth ball of the 8th over and Marco Jansen in the 5th ball of the 11th over.
Varun Chakravarthy then scored a double by dismissing Heinrich Klaasen on the first ball of the 13th over and then hit David Miller’s stumps again with a first-ball duck.
Varun Chakravarthy completed his spell with sensational bowling figures of 4-0-17-5. These were the best bowling figures for the mystery spinner in T20I cricket.

Indian bowlers dominated South Africa in 1st T20I
The Indian bowlers produced a clinical display in the first T20I, bowling out South Africa for 141 in just 17.5 overs. With a target of 203 runs to chase, South Africa’s batting line-up collapsed under pressure, never finding full momentum as wickets continued to fall at regular intervals.
Arshdeep Singh got India off to the perfect start, removing captain Aiden Markram for 8 in the first over and setting the tone for a difficult evening for South Africa.
Varun Chakraborty and Ravi Bishnoi then took center stage, dominating the medium deliveries with a mix of accuracy and sharp turns. Chakravarthy played an important role by picking up three important wickets including dangerous batsmen Ryan Rickelton, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller. His clever use of variations saw him finish with figures of 3 for 25, effectively sealing South Africa’s fate in the middle of the innings.
Bishnoi’s magic was equally effective. He trapped Patrick Kruger and Andile Simelane with his deceptive bowling and induced Marco Jansen into an ill-timed shot that led to his dismissal and completed his spell at 28 for 3. Right-arm pacer Avesh Khan finished things off by bowling Keshav. Maharaj batted at 18 to help India to an all-out 61-run win.
