Local hero Patrizia van der Veken won the 60m in a new 7.07 WL from France’s Orlan Ollier (7.18).Jakub Szymanski won the 60m hurdles for Poland with a 7.41 WL, also second on the European all-time list. After Colin Jackson beating Belgium’s Eli Bakari 7.55 (7.51 NR heats), while Tejas Schirsen 7.65 N Spain’s Alvin Jose Canales topped the 800m 1:44.65 short track NR, ahead of Poland’s Bartosz Kitlinski (1:45.65 short track PB) in the women’s 1500m broke 4:03.59 WL at new short track NR (Gabriel Dorio’s previous NR comes in 1982 4:04.01) over Spain’s Marta Garcia (4:09.80 short track PB).Germany’s Florian Brehm won the 3000m with a 7:39.01 PB ahead of Belgium’s Ruben Verheyden (7 39.90), from Kenyan Matthew Kipsang (7:40.29), France’s Romain Mornay (7:40.39 short track PB) and Mahadi Abdi Ali (7:40.99), short track NR for the Netherlands.
South Africa’s Marion Fourie dominated the 60m hurdles in 7.98 (7.91 NR in her first indoor heat) ahead of Italy’s Giada Carmasi (8.00 PB), Germany’s Rosina Schneider (8.01 PB), Saara Keskitalo (8.03 PB) over the Finns: Krite Verlin (8.06 NR for Estonia). Germany’s Jessica-Bianca Vessoli topped the 200m in a PB in 22.84, with Patricia van der Weken second in another NR of Luxembourg.Switzerland’s Angelica Moser won the pole vault with 465 to beat New Zealand’s Imogen Iris (455), Belgium’s Peter Sisk won the 1500m in a PB of 3:36.71, Poland’s Maximilian Shved in the 400m (461m) Overing. (46.57), a short track PB for two, Bulgaria’s Plamena Mitkova in the long jump (655) and Poland’s Konrad Bukowiecki. the ball (20.42).
