In her latest push to expand the paths in Golf, USA announced a new practice program on Wednesday in collaboration with eight major Golfit units, including PGA Tour and LPGA.
The launch of the trails The program is created to “expand the pipeline of future Golf leaders,” according to a USGA press release. The paid three-month practice will receive undergraduate and graduate students who have shown a skill of leadership and desire to work in Golf or Sport and place them in one of the nine golf organizations, companies or resorts. The program will focus on leading, mentoring and developing difficult skills.
“We can do more together than we can only do, and we are building an already successful road model to open up opportunities for more people,” said USA Mike Whan in omission. “These growing professionals, each organization and ultimately the game benefit from this next step ahead, and we are grateful that everyone involved have embraced its vision.”
The program will set up practitioners with companies that affect every aspect of golf, from goods and hospitality to professional tournaments and fan engagement.
Here are the nine units that participate in the Pathways Start Program:

- PGA Tour
- Lpga Tour
- Pebble Beach Company
- Pinehurst Resort and Country Club
- America’s PGA
- Dick/Golf Galaxy sports goods
- Pride of golf
- The highest Callaway golf brands
Eachdo practitioners will receive a wage per hour funded by USGA and other participating organizations. Interns can also get the cost of housing to open the door to applicants who would otherwise not be implemented. Practices will give students first -hand experience in this field and provide them with network opportunities.
The Trails Starting Program was developed by USGA Road Programwhich began in 2022 at the Country Club in Brookline, Mass. It is the latest measure in investing the USGA in raising the next generation of Golf leadership, with one eye to give more golf career opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
“Energy and interest in golf have never been higher, thanks to this extraordinary community of players, volunteers and other industry colleagues who work with us every day to present more people in the game,” said USA Fred Perpall. “This is due to the success of these efforts that we can take a step further together and leave a legacy that will have a stable impact.”
Applications for Pathways Starting are now open and will close on November 14th. The finalists will be invited to a USGA headquarters at Corner Liberty, a program will begin in 2026 US Women Open at Riviera Country Club in early June.
