
USGA and Oakmont are giving back to the community to celebrate the 125s of US Open.

Oakmont country club Will play host on his 10th US Open record in June when the 125th edition of the toughest Golf test arrives in West Pennsylvania.
To celebrate the championship, the USA announced on Wednesday that it is joining the Oakmont and the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association to invest $ 1 million in public golf courses and communities in the area. Investment will also provide learning opportunities for those who are interested in Golf careers.
“Theelli to keep growth in the game relies on a flowering ecosystem of public golf, and that is why USA has promoted it for more than 100 years,” said Mike Whan, CEO of USGA, in a statement. “Public courses are entrances that offer affordable golf, friendly with players throughout America. As the game continues to grow as a recreational sport, we need to ensure that these community gems have the tools they need to succeed-and it begins with us.”
Allegheny county North park AND South park Courses will receive funds to help increase their participation in their courses and help in sustainability goals. Bob O’Connor Golf Course In Schenley Park in Pittsburgh will also receive funds. All three courses offer greens fees for under $ 20.

Regional and local parks in Oakmont and Plum will benefit from the USGA community return program that supports outdoor recreation and enhancing green space.
“There are many benefits coming from the reception of a national championship, and we want to shed light above all,” said John Lynch President Oakmont Country Club in a statement. “This year, we are telling the golf community what the City of Champions is about, and making sure that golf is part of its sports heritage.”
2025 US Open will take place June 12-15.
