Joining its brethren in the Pioneer line of Sun Day Red golf shoes, the Pioneer Willow incorporates the same technology and materials that are packed into the Pioneer Cypress and Magnolia, this time with a much cleaner and simpler design language.
Minimum marks. A blucher construction. Subtle color. Premium fit and finish. Pioneer Willow is understated, of course, but its performance is not.
It has the same EVA midsole and aggressive traction pattern that made the Pioneer Cypress one of the surprise shoes of 2025. Plus, any shoe that uses a genuine leather and pebbled upper will win points in my book.
The Pioneer Willow is not a revolution. Maybe not even an evolution. But rather, a natural progression of styling and cosmetic changes to an already familiar (and proven) formula in the Sun Day Red Pioneer line-up.
