Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the data provided by your starting monitor? You are not alone. Our favorite part of golf technology can capture more data than NASA during a rocket launch (this can be an exaggeration), but are you really using it to improve?
There is nothing wrong with hitting balls to warm up or even stay loose during the long winter months, but ideally your practice sessions need concentration. Putting these tips in practice can turn your data into operating intelligence that will make you hit faster than Tiger Woods used to throw birds on Sunday.
And the best part is that these tips apply to almost every departure monitor… GC3, panting, troubadour or anything else. It doesn’t matter.
Work for one thing at a time

Departure monitors give us an abundance of data and because of this it can be seductive to try and bite some things right away. For example, when practicing your driver, you can try to optimize boot and rotation as you also try to swing faster and hit any free roads.
Bruh, cold.
When trying to do too immediately, it is easy to lose track of the item that is creating improvement or causes failure. Likes how to try to fix your religions, handle and behavior all as you calculate the wind speed and think if the golf shoes match your handle.
Common to the methods of the best golf coaches with whom I have spent time over the years is this: work for one thing at a time. As Yoda can say, “Focus on a task, you need. Only then, get better.”
If, for example, you are working on your attack corner with a driver, do not worry at the ball speed or rotation rates or anything else.
If you are working on winning the club’s or ball speed, don’t worry about your precision metric. I promise you, all will come together … eventually (maybe).
Once you have received your intended metric reliably within normal limits (an unclear description of what is acceptable to any given golf player), switch to another thing.
Rapid advice: Some Launch Monitor software allow you to choose which data appear on the screen. If it is available in your system, limit what you see only for what you are working on. It can help you avoid distractions and stay focused on the task in question. Think about it like Marie Kondo-Ing your golf data-If it does not arouse joy (or improvement), do not let it grab your screen.
Set the goals
It is true that most Monitor Monitor software has features that turn the practice into a game. I am everything about it (to some extent – see below) but you also have to set goals out of the challenge of skill/environmental combination.
For example, your goal may be to have 15 out of 20 strokes with your 7-jerk over 100 mph the ball speed or 90 percent of your oscillations have a path from the inside.
Start at an accessible level and increase the difficulty as you improve.
Diagnose, adjust, select

Sometimes you can be struggling to advance with what you are working on. Admit that it may not come together in a few days, but it is also important to understand that the issue you are trying to improve or choose may not be a cause, but rather a symptom.
Case in point: I sometimes struggle to hit the ball as high as I want. My intended height with my handcuffs and wedges is 100 meters. If I can go to at least 95 (within normal limits) I’m happy.
If I’m not hitting my window, my peak height numbers (or lack of them) serve as the basic landmark. If the ball is flying too low, it’s an indication that something is not working with my swinging.
Not long ago, I was struggling to reach 85 meters. I also constantly missing my left -wing target. A quick data summary showed that I was starting the left ball of the target line.
At that time I had no foresight markers in my club, but a reasonable assumption was that I was swinging inside and probably closing my face slightly. I do it from time to time, especially during the winter months.
Instead of leaving in my height challenge, I headed to start the ball on or right of the target line.
As my starting line moved to what is best described as neutral, my peak height grew and I found myself constantly over 105 meters (and in the target green).
Bottom Line: If what you are doing is not working, do not irritate. Work for something else. Sometimes arranging one aspect of your game mysteriously adjusts another.

Take
Almost every part of Monitor Monitor software has a kind of skill challenge as part of the package. These can be absolutely great for creating a performance basis as well as to follow the improvement.
They are also fun.
That is to say, the challenge itself should not be the central part of your practice sessions. Repeating the challenge of skill over and over without targeting specific areas for improvement is not a recipe for success. More similar to hitting your head against a wall repeatedly and hope for another result. Einstein called him the nonsense and he was pretty smart (though he doesn’t know much about his golf game).
Instead, use any tool similar to the challenge, your starting monitor should create an initial base and track improvement. Maybe this is taking the challenge after any practical session or maybe it’s a weekly check to see how well your work is getting better. Think about it as your golf report card – informative but not education itself.
