Under Armour has officially presented Magnetic Elite 5, and becomes none, not only because of its futuristic design, but also for the promise in performance.
The launch launch, called “Camo Digital”, presents a disturbing black and white pattern that feels more science fiction than football, with visual evidence reminiscent of QR codes, prototype schemes and Glitch art. It is an unpaid aspect, worn by heels.
But magnetic 5 is not just aesthetics. Under Armour has rebuilt its control focused on the base, making a boot specifically for players who dictate the rhythm in high pressure areas, whether it is to arm the possession, choose a pass or turn the defenders inside.
The boot has a new upper part auxeta: a feet mapping material that flexes in response to the pressure, wrapping the foot in a second skin adjustment. Combined with silicone strike areas aimed at improved ball dam and a light plaque designed for explosive cuts, Magnetico 5 puts control at the head of each movement.
The launch was revealed in a Slick Teaser video starring Real Madrid and Germany’s defender, Antonio Rüdiger, who repeats the word “control” before starting the camera screen in the dark.
The final subtitle appears: “Control is everything.” This is the basic message of the start and its mission.
