Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk 2’s press conference will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 24 to begin promoting their December 21 rematch at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will be at 5pm UK time and noon ET.
It’s reasonable to assume Fury will be his usual self, telling jokes and involving the media in the rematch. During the press conferences, he was a one-man show for his first fight with Usyk on May 18.
Is Fury’s Punch Resistance gone?
This time, Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) may be a little more serious because he took a loss in that fight, losing a 12-round split decision, and he still believes he won.
It remains to be seen if he can improve, as he is 36 and has looked subpar in the last two fights against Usyk and Francis Ngannou. Blaming it on him being out of shape won’t work because it’s two fights, not one, and he’s getting older.
What was concerning about his fight against Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) was how he got hurt in the ninth round, and that shouldn’t have happened against this level of a puncher.
Some believe that the damage done by Fury in his trilogy with Deontay Wilder has caused a decline in his punch resistance, and it is showing now. This echoes Fury’s brain, making him vulnerable to almost anyone who can land a clean headshot.

“He will have a lot of respect for Oleksandr Usyk, even if a lot of things he says don’t come across as respectful. He will sell it. He will make it the Tyson Fury show. You look He loves being in front of the cameras. He will be well paid for the rematch. He will want to win it. I think they’ll do a trilogy if he does win,” says Gareth.
