The 2026 Players Championship begins this week at Icon TPC Sawgrass in Florida. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the PGA Tour’s premier tournament, including a complete The Players Championship telecast, broadcast information and full match schedules for the first and second rounds.

How to watch the Players Championship

This week’s tournament represents the biggest PGA Tour event of the season, along with the biggest purse in all of golf. Whoever walks away with the trophy Sunday at TPC Sawgrass will win $4.5 million of the Players Championship’s $25 million big purse.

The top two players in the player field and the Official World Golf Ranking are getting top billing this week, and for good reason. The last time someone is not mentioned Rory McIlroy OR Scottie Scheffler won The Players returned in 2022.

Last year, McIlroy claimed his second Players title a month before winning his first green jacket at the Masters. Before that, Scheffler won back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.

However, McIlroy and Scheffler are not the only stars on the field. This year’s players have arguably the strongest field in golf. Among those who are threatening to win are the two-time major champions Collin Morikawa AND Xander Schauffeleas well as reborn stars Rickie Fowler AND Jordan Spieth.

NBC and Golf Channel will provide television coverage of the 2026 Players Championship, while PGA Tour live on ESPN+ will offer broadcast coverage and featured group coverage throughout the week. peacock will simulcast telecasts of NBC’s The Players Championship.
