The 2026 Players Championship continues on Friday with the second round at The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. Here’s what you need to know to watch the tournament on Friday, including complete TV coverage of The Players Championship, broadcast details and times of the second round matches.
How to watch The Players Championship on Friday
A brutal opening day at TPC Sawgrass without multiple hoops with roller coasters. He left the world number 1 Scottie Scheffler grinding down the range in the pouring rain after finishing with 72. And away he went Rory McIlroywho has a back injury, to fight for the cut on Friday after shooting 74.
The same can be said for Jordan Spiethwho will be eyeing the cut in round 2 after making a double at 18 to end his first round with one over.
But not all have struggled on the first day of the players. There are five players tied for the lead at five underincluding Sahith Theegala. Austin Smotherman has a birdie putt on his final hole to reach 16 under, but he will sleep on it and finish his round Friday morning before the second round begins.
Two-time grand champion Justin Thomas bounced back from an ugly missed cut last week to fire a 68 on Thursday. He will start Friday’s second round a shot off the lead.
