Turki tips at Crawford Omaha Surprise, fans want benavidez

Turki Alalshikh says Terence Crawford has a surprise for his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, and has one for ‘the future’. He said that Crawford (42-0, 31 COs) would rest for ‘one or two months’ before the ‘surprise’ was announced.

Omaha is not the middle stage of Boxing

It is difficult to believe that Turki Crawford in the hometown would consider something that would impress fans. It’s not even worth mentioning. Apart from people living in that city, the general public will not care. Fans want to see Crawford fighting against someone who is not old, flat -footed and has to deal with poor endurance.

They want to see Crawford test himself for the first time in his career against a fighter at the elite level, like one of these guys:

• David benavidez
• Jaron Ennis
• Christian Mbilly
• Osleys Iglesias
• Dmitri BIVOL
• Artur Betterbiev
• David Morrell

In other words, they want to see Crawford fighting against someone who can hit him. If he is serious about wanting to be on the Mount Rushmore of boxing, he will fight next one of these fighters.

“These are the gloves of the champion. He gave it to me, and it’s important. We do it,” Turki Alalshikh said Ring magazine to Terence Crawford after coming to his office to give him the gloves he wore for his victory over Canelo Alvarez.

“The champion has many surprises for his city (Omaha, Nebraska) and the future. He now wants to rest for one or two months, and then we will tell you the surprise,” Turki said about Crawford.

Fans on social media have already predicted what the “Surprise” will be over.

1. Homecoming: Crawford will fight in front of his hometown fans during a Riyadh season. It is not an ideal location for the media or fans on the eastern or West Coast. It’s there in the middle of nowhere.
2. Beatable opponent: Fans believe Terence will fight against Carlos Adames or Jermall Charlo next. He will not fight against the middleweight champions Janibek Alimkhnuly or Erislandy Lara because they are expected to fight next.

Fitting Crawford against the faded Canelo was essentially a gift. The money it needs to get Canelo to agree to the fight against Crawford has resulted in very little value.

Turki could have used the money he spent on Crawford and Canelo to acquire a younger fighter with a long future before him, such as David Benavidez or Jaron Ennis.

The use of the $ 50 million to 38-year-old Crawford was probably a waste, as the increase in popularity he received is not sustainable.

Why Crawford won’t dare

Terence will retire soon. Even if he does not, he is not expected to fight someone like Benavidez, Christian Mbilli, Lester Martinez or Ennis. Bud does not want to risk his all times, Bok and Mount Rushmore status by fighting someone who can hit him.

He came so far without ever fighting a fighter at an elite level to produce a record of 42-0. Now that he has been marketed as a wonderful, Crawford will not really be placed with anyone who can show that he was artificial.

It would make Turki look bad if Crawford was wiped out by Benavidez, Mbilli, Lester, Jaron Ennis, or one of the 154 pounds. I would include some of the middle weights, but the division currently has no great talent.
