Turki Alalshikh has a great event planned for November, with Jaron Ennis against Vergil Ortiz Jr. And William Zepeda fighting Andy Cruz. Also on the map, the heavyweight contender would have to be Itauma to Martin Bakole, and middleweight contender Christian Mbilli Fighting Lester Martinez.
Key November box fights
‘Boots’ Ennis (34-0, 30 COs) would be thrown in the deep point immediately in his debut at 154 as the struggle with the WBC-Tuss-interest junior middleweight champion, Vergil Ortiz Jr. (23-0, 21 COs), come down. Ennis, 27, recently evacuated his IBF and WBA welterweight titles for outgrowing the weight class.
November -Card (Possible)
- Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis against Vergil Ortiz jr.
- William Zepeda vs. Andy Cruz
- Christian Milli vs. Lester Martinez
- Moses Itauma against Martin Bakole
Presumably Zepeda (33-0, 27 CO’s) will have to overcome against WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson. Since Zepeda is the underdog in that battle, it is likely that he will be beaten and will not have the chance to fight against Cruz in November. However, if Zepeda does win, he will go into the Cruz match as the 135-pound WBC champion.
Alalshikh’s big event plans
“We’re talking about doing a card in November,” Alalshikh said. “I hope to have (Vergil) Ortiz against Boots (Ennis), (Martin) Bakole against (Moses) Itauma, (William) Zepeda against (Andy) Cruz, and (Christian) Mbilli against (Lester) Martinez,” Turki Alalshikh tells Ring magazine For a great event in November.
Itauma (12-0, 10 CO’s) fights on August 16 in Riyadh on Dazn against veteran Dillian Whyte. He will have to defeat Whyte for a fight against Bakole (21-2-1, 16 COs) to make sense. Depending on what weight bakingols come in that fight, it can be easy or a disaster for 20-year-old Itauma. For his promoters to be prepared to fit him against Itauma, they will have to banking on Martin’s weight hanging in the 300 pound area, as we saw in his last two fights.
