Richardson Hitchins says he wants to face Theofimo Lopez in a light Welterweight -one game. The IBF champion of 140 pound Hitchins (20-0, 8 COs) told his followers on X that he would do his best to deliver a unification against the WBO champion Teofimo (22-1, 13 COs).
Theofimo Lopez avoids risk?
Hitchins may have permanently scared theofimo with his eighth round victory over George Kambosos Jr. Last June. Richardson looked too predominant in that battle and the one before the Teen Liam Paro for Lopez to agree to fight against him. Teo has been in a position to choose his opponents by hand since his victory over Vasily Lomachenko in 2020.
With the $ 10 million Lopez got for his victory over Arnold Barboza Jr. In May at Times Square, he can afford to be picky. Teo recently rejected a massive payday for a fight against Devin Haney in a catch in August.

That fight is not realistic. Theofimo no longer takes risky battles as his bad experience against Jailaine Ortiz. Richardson has to look in another direction for his next fight by targeting WBA champion Gary Antuanne Russell in a unification fight. Russell would readily agree to fight hitchins.
There is also the newly crowned WBC Light Welterweight Subriel Matias that can fight Hitchins. Matias has a title defense to make against Dalton Smith in November. But if it conquered in battle, he would like to face hitchins in an unfinishing.
Alalshikh can fight
Turki Alalshikh can make some major battles for Richardson, possibly even against theofimo if he offers him enough money. It should be a massive wallet to attract Lopez to take a risky fight against Hitchins. If he is doing well with the rejection of a big payday against Haney, he will do the same against Hitchins.
