Turki Alalhikh is planning to add “Two major battles” After the bottom map of Canelo Alvarez against Terence Crawford on September 13.
The battles:
- Jared Anderson vs. Jarrell Miller: A heavyweight clash between fringe benefits
- Christian Mbilli vs. Lester Martinez: This is a super-middleweight match between two punchers
Mike Coppinger broke the story On the two fights, Turki hopes at the Canelo Crawford card on September 13.
Why Fan reaction negative?
The reaction of fans on social media to the potential two-fold addition to the 13th card is negative. They do not see any of these games as ‘big fights’. These are mediocre battles in public.
People are not interested in seeing the 36-year-old ‘Big Baby’ Miller (26-1-2, 22 COs) on the map against Jared Anderson (18-1, 15 COs).
Miller has tested positive for PEDs over the past 11 years. Many fans gave him up. He has not fought since he struggled in a 12-round against Andy Ruiz in August. Miller looked old and shot in that battle.
Last August, Jared, 25, was knocked out by Martin Bakole in five rounds. He has only fought once and beat Marios Collias with a 10-round decision in February. It would be better for Turki Alalshikh to let Jared Anderson off the 13th card. Fans know what he’s about and consider him a hype track that is exposed.
Lester Martinez (19-0, 16 COs) has been fighting exclusively on a lower level opposition since becoming professional in 2019. Martinez, 29, doesn’t look almost ready to fight someone like Mbilli.
Christian Mbilli (29-0, 24 COs) is worth staying on the 13th map of September 13, but only if he is fighting against someone well. He is the only good fighter of the four Turki hopes to add to his September card. However, it is a waste for Mbillo to fit against Martinez, rather than one of the talented fighters on 168.
Excellent options for Milli
– Osley Iglesias
– Jose Armando Resendiz
– Diego Pacheco
