Joey Spencer said he was going to test Tim Tszyu’s chin with his power shots this Saturday, and he didn’t know if his ability to take a punch had reduced his recent knockout loss against the IBF junior middleweight champion Bakhram Murtazaliev on October 19 last year.
Spencer (19-1, 1 cost) will face former WBO 154-pound champion Tszyu (24-2, 17 COs) in a 10-round fight this Saturday, April 6, in Newcastle Entertainment Center, Broadmeadow, in Newcastle. The event starts at 21:00 Et / 18:00 pt. For Australian fans, it will be AEDT at 11am.
Demolition -claims
Spencer, 25, was amused when the media told Tszyu planning to do a ‘demolition’ on him. He noted that he said exactly the same before his last fight against Murtazaliev. The fight did not do too well for Tszyu while blowing out in three rounds.
