Tracy davies Aims to exalt American tennis as a path.
Davies has been appointed as manager General USA Tenis, Usta announced today. She is the first woman to hold the role of high performance leadership.
In this new role, Davies will oversee an expanded division of high performance that joins the development of players, Pro Circuit, Collegete, Junior Compete and the events of the international team in a single cohesive department.
“As a strategic business leadership for this division, it will have the task of optimizing the resources and paths of players for the most competitive young people and professional players in order to promote a culture of transparency, extension and innovation, touching players through competition, training and support of players,” Usta said in a statement.

“After a wide search, I am excited to announce that Tracy Davies will lead our US tennis division,” said Lew Sherr, CEO and the Executive Director of Usta. “Tracy brings not only deep experience in high performance and training, but also a strategic mentality and business shrewdness that will improve the way we approach the competitive way and help form the future of American tennis at every level.”
In this new role, Davies will be responsible for integrating the development of athletes, high performance and competitive roads, including collegial tennis, within USTA.
Usta said Davies “will have a duty to adopt a comprehensive approach to athlete support, including performance optimization, well -being and competitive success in approximation with the USTA mission and strategic advantage: Increasing tennis to inspire people and healthier communities everywhere.”

“I am excited to be the new leader of our Tennis Division in the SH.BA with the last approximation of our players and competition paths, we have a unique opportunity to re -establish a wider vision of success for our American athletes,” Davies said. “My priority is to build on the strong foundations of the organization, as we seek to provide high quality increased competitive opportunities and expanded player support and training for our young, collegial and high performance professionals.
“I am extremely excited to start and look forward to working in collaboration with our players, their supporting teams and the extended tennis industry to continue to run a world -class support system for our future generation of players.”

Prior to this meeting, Davies held numerous roles in Usta, focused on developing the path of players. Recently, as managing director, major events and competitive roads, it strengthened the link between and integrated national junior competitions, collegial tennis and transitional tournament, supporting the development of American players.
In addition, she was responsible for managing and leading the Davis and Billie Jean King Cup team teams. Davies also led the development of the current competitive route for young people in the US, after approximating the 17 USTA sections in a single ranking system and the tournament structure, and overseeing key events for USTA, including the Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship and the NCA National Championship, held at the National Usta Camp.
“We know that when American players succeed on the world stage, it inspires millions to get a rocket and directs greater visibility for our sport,” said Brian Vahaly, Board and President Chairman, Usta. “This division plays a critical role in that effort, and under Tracy’s leadership, it will be guided by the strategic focus and operational discipline needed to ensure that we are doing as much as possible from any investment.
