Tottenham vs Fulham: Preview, Predictions and Lineups

Tottenham Hotspur look to build on last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of Manchester City when they host Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites shone at the Etihad Stadium as they defeated an out-of-form City side, following a memorable 2-2 home draw in the Europa League against Claudio Ranieri’s Roma. A stoppage-time effort from Mats Hummels denied Spurs a second successive win after the November international period.

Just hours before Tottenham demolished Man City, Fulham, also from the capital, were on the receiving end of their own humiliation. Despite Alex Iwobi opening the scoring with a brace, the Cottagers proceeded to concede four unanswered goals to struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers at home in what was a hugely disappointing defeat.

here it is 90 minutes guide to Sunday’s duel across London.

Tottenham they have a number of injuries throughout their squad, but their most notable absentees are in defence. Guglielmo Vicario is missing in goal as he recovers from surgery on an ankle injury, while Micky van de Ven is sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Cristian Romero has missed both games since the international break and looks unlikely to feature against Fulham. However, he is closing in on a return and Ange Postecoglou refused to rule him out of contention for the visit of the Cottagers.

Rodrigo Bentancur is still serving his ban and Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Mikey Moore are all sidelined.

Tottenham predicted line-up against Fulham (4-3-3): Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son.

Matheus Cunha, Joachim Andersen

Joachim Andersen picked up a calf injury against Wolves and the centre-back will be out for the “next few games” at least, according to his manager Marco Silva. With Jorge Cuenca also on the sidelines, Fulham they are short with the centrals.

Ryan Sessegnon could miss a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to knock, while Harrison Reed is unavailable in the center of the park after undergoing knee surgery during the November international break.

Expected line-up of Fulham against Tottenham (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Iwobi, Pereira, Traore; Jimenez

It would be typical for Tottenham to follow up last weekend’s defeat against Man City with a subdued defeat at home to Fulham. However, with Silva’s side suffering their own embarrassment last time out, Spurs could use some mental frailty.

Either way, Sunday’s affair should be a blast. Both sides have a myriad of attacking threats and are likely to fight fire with fire in North London. The goals should follow as a result, especially considering neither team is particularly impressive defensively, and we’re backing Spurs to entertain.

Prediction: Tottenham 3-2 Fulham
