Tony Finau’s 2025 season has entered a rocky start and has not got better this week at RBC Heritage In Harbour Town Golf Links.

After playing Harbour Town in the first two days, Finau came out early on Saturday, hoping to make a move up at the top. He went out on two under and made bird-back birds at no. 11 and 12.

But then a port city catastrophe struck par-4 13.

Finau hit his shot on the right track, but his approach intention ended up locked in the front bunker. Finau tried to explode, but the ball hit the lining of the wood in the bunkers and was recacted at the back of the bunker. With another terrible lie, Finau chose to play his fourth goal back on the right path. He then hit his fifth shooting at 17 meters and rolled in the blow for a double six.

Finau responded with birds at 15 and 16, but was prevented with a noise at 17 to finish in three under the day and the tournament.

The adventure for Finau on Saturday was indicative of his disappointing season to this point.

Finau opened with a T15 in Sentry but lost cutting in American Express and Farmers Insurance Open. He scored a T13 at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro AM and a T5 at the Invitational Generals.

But since that time, Finau’s best end is a tie for the 32nd in Houston Open of children in Texas. He lost the cut in the player championship and masters.

Finau is not the only one who has a difficult time by turning his fate into Harbor Town.

Sahith Theegala entered the week without a high conclusion in the season and played the first two rounds of RBC heritage in a long one.

The 27-year-old found an early bird on Saturday to try and throw in his round before the wood bypass it in the fourth par-3.

Theegala tried to throw a ball fixed at the location of the rear hole, but it landed on the wood and was catapulted over the green and in the water on the other side. Theegala continued to do Bogey.

Harbour Town just isn’t the place to try and find your lost game.
