Nico Hernandez strikes Ledesma in round 2

Nico Hernandez did not waste time, and Robert Ledesma hammered with nasty body shots late in the first round that forced him to a knee.

Then there came two – and Hernandez went straight back to the ribs and dropped Ledesma early. Barely a minute inside, Hernandez unleashed another cruel combination that caused Ledesma to come down for good. Count couldn’t save him.

Gustavo Trujillo beat Lateeef Kayode by WHO

Gustavo Trujillo spent six rounds to make Lateeef Kayode in a heavy bag. Kayode looked stiff from the beginning and hit the occasional, but mostly beaten.

By sixth place, Trujillo averted at will. Kayode’s corner finally threw in the towel and spared him more punishment at 2:15. Trujillo stays perfectly at 8-0. Kayode slides to 22-6 and probably wakes up this morning wondering what day it was.

Aaron Casper beats Jeff Page Jr. By unanimous decision

Aaron Casper spent six rounds around the skull of Jeff Page Jr. With sharp bumps to rattle and barely break a sweat on the way to a clear victory. Judges had it 59-55, 59-55 and 58-56 for the 36-year-old from Georgia.

Page, which walks away in the ring after eight years, looked rust and tired by the end. He drops to 18-4 and may want to think twice before taking another long vacation.
