Christian Mbilli and veteran Maciej Sulecki are fighting tonight in the 12-round main event for the vacant WBC-TUSSENTEMURE SUPER-Middleweight title and position themselves to fight for the world title in 2026. Mbilli-Sulecki will take place in the Center VideoTron in Quebec City, Canada.
ESPN+ LIVE: Milli vs Sulecki tonight
Tonight’s map will be streamed Live on ESPN+ at 6pm ET/3: 00 pm pt. The ring runs for the Mbilli vs. Sulecki match around 23:00 Et/20:00 pm pt.
The winner of tonight’s fight between the unbeaten #1 mbilli (28-0, 23 costs) and #7 Sulecki (33-3, 13 CO’s) will challenge the winner of the Canelo against Terence Crawford match for the WBC 168-LB title next year. For Mbilli, a win can put him on the bottom map of the fight on September 13. He is one of the names mentioned on the map.
Sulecki, 36, is expected to fight well early by using his stitch and fast combinations on land shots. He has the technical skill benefit over Mbilli. However, while the fight is going on, Mbilli’s high volume of Sulecki will overwhelm and put him on defense.
Polish fighter Sulecki does not have the mobility to avoid the Olympic Mbilli in 2016 as he needs to keep him off. In addition, the lack of power of Maciej will make it difficult for him to get Mbilli’s respect, which will hesitate to attack.
In Sulecki’s losses to Diego Pacheco, Daniel Jacobs and Demetrius Andrade, he struggled under the pressure of those fighters. He did not have the doll in his push to delay them.
