IBF Welterweight Champion Ennis (33-0, 29 food) will try to win his second title at 147 against WBA Champ Stanionis (15-0, 9 food). It is Boots’ first true attempt to win a world title. The sanction body raised itself to the IBF champion status by email after the previous belt holder, Terence Crawford, moved up to 154.

There are many questions about whether Ennis weight will be drained for tonight’s fight, as he looked confused and dead all week and tried to weigh the 147 pound limit for Friday’s weighing in. He made the weight, but there is doubt as to whether he will be 100% tonight.
Some box fans consider boots (27) as another example of the tendency of the weight shooters of the sport. These fighters campaign in divisions far below their physical frames to gain an advantage over smaller fighters. When they rehydrate, they look big compared to their smaller opponents. Ennis looks big after rehydrating, like a middleweight.
It is unclear whether the struggle of tonight Ennis’s last one is on his multi-game contract with Matchroom. If so, it could be the end of him with the company of Eddie Hearn. Boots will be pitched quickly on the free-agent market by one of the promoters or perhaps by the Saudi.
In the main support, former WBA featherweight champion Raymond Ford, Thomas Mattice in a 10 round. For the match-promoted Ford (16-1-1, 8 COs), it’s his second fight since moving to the 130-pound division after outgrowing the featherweight class.
